Andrew Henderson
UNESCO Bangkok Consultant
Bangkok, Thailand
I am working as a consultant with the UNESCO Bangkok Office on a project to digitise and make accessible the Bagan Photographic Archive of 5000+ glass plate negatives (ca. 1900-1920). This is part of a wider campaign to link archeological archives with the preservation and interpretation of World Heritage sites, with a focus on how emerging technologies can help manage and make this material accessible to the public in interesting/dynamic ways. I am also the Secratary General of the UNESCO Memory of the World Committee for Asia Pacific (MOWCAP). MOWCAP aims to assist with preservation of and universal access to documentary heritage of the Asia/Pacific region, and also to increase awareness of the existence and significance of the heritage. http://www.mowcaparchives.org
