Gala Dinner aboard the WWII ship the SS Jeremiah O'Brien LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available

Ticket required (included with General and Academic Registrations)

Join us for a gala dinner and behind the scenes tours aboard the National WWII Liberty Ship Memorial the SS Jeremiah O'Brien.  We will enjoy a special evening on this historic 75-year old living and working heritage site.

The SS Jeremiah O'Brien is one of two remaining fully functional Liberty ships of the 2,710 built and launched during World War II. The O'Brien has the distinction of being the last unaltered Liberty ship and remains historically accurate. Moored at Pier 45, Fisherman's Wharf, she is a premier San Francisco attraction.

A living museum on the National Register of Historic Places and a National Historic Landmark, the O'Brien transports you back almost seven decades to when sailors braved the harshest of high seas and threat of enemy attack.

Note we had planned to take the boat out on the Bay, but due to unforeseen mechanical problems,  we will be docked at Pier 45 for the evening.  If repairs can be done in time, the crew will however fire up the engine room's boilers so we can see the boat's machinery in action.  For those that saw the movie Titanic, the O'Brien's engine room was featured in scenes for the movie.
