Workshop: ARCHES Cultural Heritage Data Management Platform (Version 4.3): Part 1
Open to all attendees

Members of the Arches project team will deliver a 1.5 hour workshop providing an overview of Version 4.3 of the Arches cultural heritage data management platform with a focus on end user functionality for those who want to know how Arches can be used to publish and manage cultural heritage information for various stakeholders.

Topics covered in Part 1 of the workshop will include:
•    An introduction to Arches 4.3 features and capabilities for end users, including data discovery (i.e. semantic search, advanced search, date search using the time wheel, related resource exploration and geospatial visualization) and data entry
•    Features coming soon, including the new mobile data collection app for smartphone and tablet field data collection with or without network connectivity, and the new Mobile Survey Manager, which manages mobile data collection projects and allows for fine-tuned control over survey projects, potentially enabling crowdsourcing efforts
•    The Arches community, including how to participate
•    How Arches is being implemented by a range of heritage organizations and projects.

Presented by Annabel Lee Enriquez and David Myers (Getty Conservation Institute), and a development team member from Farallon Geographics, Inc
