Panel/Workshop:
Which future for digital heritage?Organized by the EU PARTHENOS Project, with the Research Data Alliance, Science Europe, and more
Which are the most important scientific trends influencing the future of digital heritage research? How will it be affected by a much larger availability of digital data? What will be the impact on it of policies and technologies such as Open Science, FAIR data, cyberinfrastructures, cloud extensive use, and so on? Which scenarios can be expected in the next 5-10 years?
These and other similar issues may influence decisions and shape current work to adapt to a fast-evolving research environment.
The workshop will address such questions and will contribute to the preparation of a Foresight Study carried out by the PARTHENOS project (
www.parthenos-project.eu) and due to appear in Spring 2019.
After an introduction by the panelists, the audience will be asked to provide their opinions, to be collected into a report of the workshop for inclusion in the Study.
